Kiln Loading at Canton Clay Works
Tim will send out the shift schedule in May. Shifts are 4 hours at the most.
Wood Fire at Canton Clay Works
We will fire around the clock from noon on Friday 6/27 to approx noon on Sunday 6/29. Shifts are 4 hours each.
Kiln Unloading at Canton Clay Works
Train Kiln unloading followed by a pot luck lunch and guild updates. All guild members are welcome to attend, even if you did not participate in this firing.

Community Meeting at Sunshine Ceramics Studio
Join the Connecticut clay community for our monthly meeting & networking event! Community meetings are open to members and anyone interested in getting involved with the CT Clay Guild.
This meeting features a Starting Your Small Arts Business panel discussion where ceramic artists with different backgrounds and experiences will share everything they wish someone had told them when they were starting out.
We will also collect tool donations for our Tool Swap.

Community Meeting at Farmington Valley Arts Center
Join the Connecticut clay community for our monthly meeting & networking event! Community meetings are open to members and anyone interested in getting involved with the CT Clay Guild.
At this meeting, we will host a “Mug Show & Tell” and Mug Handle Demo Panel where 4 - 5 artists will demonstrate unique methods for creating their signature handles.
We will also collect tool donations for our Tool Swap.
Don’t forget to bring your favorite mug!

Logo Contest Deadline
The CT Clay Guild is in need of and official logo!
Voting will be on Instagram and in person at the 6/22/25 meeting at Farmington Valley Arts Center in Avon, CT
The winning design will receive a free 1 year CT Clay Guild membership
Glaze Day at Canton Clay Works
Glazing Day for the June Train Kiln Firing at Canton Clay Works
10:00 am Join the CCW community in unloading the May firing & learn about the unique atmospheric effects of the train kiln followed by a lunch break.
12:00 - 3:00 pm Apply flashing slips and glazes to your pots supplied by Tim at CCW. Instruction and a brief demo will be included.

Members Meeting at Wet Clay Works
Join the Connecticut clay community for our monthly meeting / networking event!
This meeting will feature Ave Rivera giving a “Social Media 101” mini workshop. She will cover social media best practices and share what has worked well for her when promoting her work. The presentation will be 15-20 minutes and will be followed by a 15 min Q & A session.

Members Meeting at Spiral Arts Studio
Join the Connecticut clay community for our monthly meeting / networking event!
The first 60 - 90 minutes of each meeting will be devoted to guild business, celebrating what we have accomplished and looking towards the future. After all current items are covered we reserve 30 - 40 minutes for a community open forum. Each meeting is then wrapped up with time to socialize, network, and share food pot luck style.
