Brush & Blade - A Virtual Workshop with Stephanie Haines

Join us for a 90-minute demonstration style virtual workshop with Stephanie Haines exploring two dynamic surface design techniques: underglaze painting and sgraffito carving. We’ll build imagery, pattern, and color directly on functional pottery. From there, the process moves into carving and scratching through the painted surface to reveal layered designs and create depth.

In this live, demonstration-style workshop, we’ll take a closer look at developing rich ceramic surfaces through color, carving, highlights, shadow, and thoughtful glaze choices. We’ll also discuss how to design imagery that works with the form of the pot, creating surfaces that feel dynamic, dimensional, and intentional—opening new possibilities for storytelling in clay.

Participants will receive a google meet invite to join the workshop.

Workshop will be recorded and available to re watch for 90 days.

CTCG Members please register on the Member Portal for discounted pricing. General public may register below.
