Your membership dues help sustain the programs, events, and infrastructure that make the CT Clay Guild possible. Our goal is not only to promote ceramic arts in Connecticut, but to do so in a way that values artists’ time, labor, and knowledge.
Membership dues help cover:
Workshops & Events
Dues help us host demonstrations, workshops, lectures, studio visits, and community gatherings throughout the year. They also allow us to pay demonstrating artists and workshop leaders fairly for their time and expertise, which is a core value of the guild. Artists’ knowledge and labor deserve compensation, and we believe supporting them in this way strengthens the entire clay community.Marketing & Advertising
We promote member opportunities, exhibitions, events, and programs through social media, newsletters, and other outreach so that artists and studios receive broader visibility across the state.Web & Email Hosting
Your dues help maintain the website, member directory, event listings, and email communications that keep the guild connected and informed.Community Building
Membership supports the work behind organizing meetings, coordinating collaborations, building partnerships with studios and organizations, and creating opportunities for artists to connect with one another. At its core, your membership helps build a strong, supportive, and sustainable clay community—one where artists are respected, opportunities are shared, and the value of creative work is recognized.

Bringing food or drinks is never a requirement to show up to a meeting. We would much rather you show up without food than not show up at all.
It’s ok if you can’t cook but still would like to bring something. We can always use drinks, ice, paper plates, cups, or napkins.
-
No. We try to schedule meetings when most of our members have availability. However, we understand that everyone’s schedule is different. We also understand that some meeting locations are not always going to be convenient for everyone. Because each meeting is at a different studio, there are going to be times where a meeting is farther away than you would like to drive.
Meeting notes and resources will be posted to the Member Portal with in a few days of each meeting for anyone who was unable to attend in person.

To date, most of our meetings have been in the Hartford or New Haven areas of the state. The reason for this is because that is where the founding members of CTCG live and have the most connections.
However, if you have a studio in a different area of CT and are interested in hosting a meeting, we would LOVE to hear from you! Please send us an email at info@ctclayguild.com
