Miss Art School Critiques?
This September, CTCG will launch what we hope becomes a valuable annual tradition: a member critique night focused on thoughtful, constructive peer feedback. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to discuss your work, gain fresh perspective, or work through creative questions in a supportive environment, this is the meeting you’ve been waiting for.
Members are welcome to bring a single piece, a group of related works, or even examples that highlight a particular challenge or question they are exploring in their practice. Whether you’re looking for feedback on form, surface, function, presentation, cohesion, or direction, this critique is intended to provide thoughtful, constructive conversation in a supportive environment for artists at all experience levels.
To help create a positive and useful critique environment, participants are encouraged to:
Be specific and constructive in their feedback
Focus on observations and thoughtful questions rather than personal judgments
Consider the artist’s goals and intentions when responding
Offer feedback that is honest, respectful, and actionable
Listen openly and engage in discussion with curiosity and professionalism
Whether you plan to present work or simply participate in the conversation, we hope you’ll join us for an evening of community, dialogue, and artistic growth.
