2027 Connecticut Clay Crawl – Host Studio Applications

Following a highly successful inaugural event, the Connecticut Clay Guild is excited to open applications for Host Studios for the 2027 Connecticut Clay Crawl.

Host Studio Eligibility & Requirements

The Connecticut Clay Crawl is a juried event, and applications will be carefully reviewed by the Event Committee. Due to the planning timeline, late applications cannot be considered.

To ensure a successful experience for participating artists, visitors, and host locations, the number of Host Studios will be limited this year.

Community studios, educational programs, and private studios representing a larger organization are encouraged to apply and will receive priority consideration. Private member studios are welcome to apply as well.

Host Studios must:

• Be open to the public for the full duration of the Clay Crawl.

• Maintain an active Connecticut Clay Guild membership.

• Accommodate a minimum of two (2) additional CT Clay Guild Guest Artists.

• Provide a welcoming and accessible environment for visitors throughout the event.

Host Studio Participation

The Host Studio Fee includes Clay Crawl participation for the Studio Owner.

Studio Owners are encouraged to create an engaging visitor experience and may:

• Display and sell their work.

• Offer demonstrations, workshops, or hands-on activities.

• Invite vendors, community partners, or event collaborators.

• Showcase a small selection of student or member work.

While student and member work is welcome, participating Guest Artists should be given priority within the exhibition space.

The Connecticut Clay Guild Event Committee will coordinate Host Studio and Guest Artist placements based on the preferences and needs of both parties.

Promotion & Marketing

All Host Studios will receive:

• Inclusion on the official Clay Crawl map.

• Listing on the Connecticut Clay Guild website.

• Promotion through event marketing materials, social media, and advertising campaigns.

Clay Crawl Fees

Host Studio Fee: $225

Guest Artist Booth Fee (CTCG Member): $150

Guest Artist Booth Fee (Student Member): $120

Guest Artist Booth Fee (Non-Member): $250

Host Studio Acceptance Announcements: First Week of November 2026

Guest Artist Application Opens: November 15, 2026

Guest Artist Application Deadline: January 15, 2027

Guest Artist Acceptance Announcements & Host Studio Placements: January 24, 2027
