We are very excited to have Bri Larson with us at this meeting giving an artist talk and demo.
You can find more of her work at https://brilarson.com on INSTAGRAM
Bri creates pottery adorned with colorful clays and hand-drawn imagery arranged in intricate patterns across the surface. Originally from the great state of Minnesota, she now works from her studio here in New England. She earned her BFA in 2013 from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, majoring in ceramics under Randy Johnston, and began her practice with a strong focus on wood firing.
In 2018, she moved to Providence, Rhode Island, to begin a two-year residency at The Steel Yard, where she shifted her emphasis from atmospheric firings to electric firings. In 2020, she relocated across the border to Connecticut to support her husband’s family while continuing her work in Providence. Following her residency, she established a studio at the Nicholson File Artist Community as well as a smaller studio space at home.
When she is not in the studio or caring for her toddler full time, Bri can be found hiking or biking outdoors, knitting with hand-dyed yarn, or playing D&D with friends.
