We are a pottery making studio and gift shop offering classes and workshops in stoneware clay. We offer varitey of specialty brush on glazes, underglazes and transfers for glazing fired work made in our classes and workshops. We make all of the pottery we sell in our gift shop!

Jamie Fitzgerald, owner, creative director, artist, and designer has been making art and teaching pottery for over 25 years - aka "BI" (before the internet)! Jamie has degrees in 18th Century British Literature, aka (English), Visual Arts, and Communications (aka, Advertising.) She got her first pottery wheel from "Santa" at age 7 and has been creating ever since.  She is an award-winning sculptor and author as well! Jamie has taught pottery at the UCONN Community School of the Arts, Farmington Valley Arts Center, and at her own studio! Before opening Little Bird Clay Company, Jamie would sell her work at markets and events and roll out clay slabs and haul all of her pottery gear around to local breweries to host MYOM (Make Your Own Beer Mug Nights!)  Jamie is a passionate creator who loves good jokes, lively conversation, singing, music, art, retro vibes, jukeboxes, cats, and rainy days. She and her partner create all of the pottery sold at Little Bird Clay Company and also Jamie is the originator and designer behind GRAVESTEINS Early New England Gravestone Pottery. www.gravesteins.com.  When Jamie is not creating or designing or imagining at the studio, you can find her fronting her latest musical project "Polly Gryp and The Dentures." The greatest opening band you will ever see. Forty minutes (give or take) of rock and roll for geriatrics like her who can't be out past 10:00 pm.
