Erika Novak
Erika Novak is a ceramic artist who focuses on functional wheel-thrown pottery. Her signature work includes small-batch collections of cups and mugs, vases, and hanging planters.
Erika heavily concentrates on surface design, utilizing bold color and maximalist patterns. She pulls inspiration from craft and textures found in everyday spaces. Erika carves and paints each surface composition entirely by hand. Duplicate pots are rarely created; rather, each piece is distinctly unique in terms of pattern and color. Erika’s designs are reminiscent of retro wallpapers or stained glass, while also carrying a hint of Art Deco influence.
After studying ceramics and fine art in college, Erika now works as a full-time artist and ceramics instructor, living and working in central Connecticut.
